Amber is a photographer & visual artist…
… whose work seeks to portray how we experience, understand, navigate, embody, and accept (or reject) all the spaces in-between - physical locations, versions of self, intersectional identities, temporary phases and other transitory moments in time. The goal of all her work is to curate and capture multidimensional, dynamic, authentic and vulnerable expressions of the human condition.
Drawing from her training as an Expressive Arts Therapist…
… she takes a holistic, laidback approach to shooting that centers the unique perspective of her subjects and weaves together the threads of storytelling, psychology, dreamwork and creative coping. Her specialities lies in environmental, abstract/conceptual and documentary-style work and she has a particular interest in partnering with other artists to bring their creative visions to life.
To date, she has collaborated with various musicians, creative professionals and organizations across Los Angeles County (ie: Level Ground Artist Collective, Skew Magazine, Black Women Photographers, Adolescent Content, and SoLa SEED Contemporary) to create and share visual narratives for print, web and socials.
